Estate Planning Services

Estate Planning is the process of creating a “toolbox” to protect your family, plan for your personal and financial care and manage or transfer your assets in case of incapacitation or death.

At the law office of Carmen Rosas, we help our clients create a plan that is unique to their family.

There is not a “cookie-cutter” estate plan. Families vary greatly. We work closely with each of our clients to ensure your plan meets your unique family and circumstances. Whether you are part of a blended family, are new parents or just want a personalized plan, we can help.

Our complete estate plans include the following documents:

  • Will: provides a plan for distributing all your property after you die
  • Advance Health Care Directive: provides a statement regarding your medical care and if you wish to remain on life support, gives an agent the authority to make health care decisions on your behalf in the event you are unable to make them.
  • Durable Power of Attorney: provides authority for someone to assume responsibility for managing financial matters on your behalf if you become incapacitated.
  • Revocable Trust: provides for distribution of your assets after you die, in a private manner and outside of the court system. It also ensures that your assets where you want.
  • Additional Documents: depending on your family and business needs

Most of our meetings are held virtually- we know how busy life is. Everything can be done online and over the phone.

We also, provide a complimentary review of your estate plan in 3-5 years.

If you already have an estate plan, it is important to update it as circumstances in your life change- marriage, divorce, death, new baby, purchase of a home, etc. We can help update your plan as well.
